TRIGON is a bicycle manufacturer based in Taiwan. It started out as an OEM, creating bikes for world-renowned brands, but now produces its own ranges of road, cyclo-cross and gravel bikes.
TRIGON will be a new name for many but has actually been around for a while. The company was founded in 1998 as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and started by using its carbon manufacturing experience to create frames and components for some of the biggest cycling brands in the world.
It quickly grew and had a major breakthrough in 2000 when it expanded its team to cover the whole manufacturing and design process. This gave TRIGON the capacity and know-how to start creating its own ranges, building on its existing reputation for manufacturing high-quality carbon products.
By 2018 its design focus had turned to racing, leading to the creation of the Trigon Factory Racing team. In support of this new direction, TRIGON started custom-designing new bikes specifically for racing.
That’s still one of its main goals today, but it’s been joined by a wider ambition in 2023 to support every type of rider, resulting in a broader range of bikes.
This range includes the brand’s latest release, the AR (All-Round) 01, TRIGON’s most premium bike yet. Alongside this there’s also a hill-climb-specific HC and race-orientated RC.
Heading off road, TRIGON also now offers both gravel and cyclo-cross bikes
GCN’s Ollie Bridgewood used the Trigon AR01 during his Tour des Stations Ultimate 1000 ultra-endurance race. It proved to be the star of the show.
